Do you just poop? Or do you productively poop?
I mean, you can just sit there. And think about stuff. Or read. And that’s cool – it’s usually a quick in and out anyway (except after eating that spicy burrito you knew was a bad idea).
But did you know you can transform your poops into concentrated bursts of productivity?
I know it might seem weird. But it’s about getting things done during something you’d be doing anyway (in this case, going number two).
A poop is a great time to get something quick done. Especially if you’ve been putting it off. How? By bringing in your notepad, laptop, or whatever you use to work on.
Two reasons why productive pooping works:
- Time for myself: no interruptions, especially useful if I’m in a busy or distracting place.
- Get the task done quick: I wanna get out of the increasingly stinky toilet soon, so it forces me to focus and hurry.
Ever since I started productive pooping, I’ve been able to get small tasks done sooner and quicker. Those annoying ones I tend to procrastinate on finishing.
Sketching out a plan. Finishing an article. Answering a batch of emails. Doing a design change. Organizing files. Cleaning out bookmarks. Setting up an account. Whatever I’ve been too distracted to get done in the outside non-toilet world.
So next time you need to poop, and there’s a small task you’ve been putting off, grab your notepad or laptop and get it done.
